Hey everyone,

I'm day-dreaming again about when I'll eventually be able to afford to put real power into my car. So anyone running or have advice on stroking the 4.6 to a 5.0 and then putting a blower on it?

I'm asking because since I would rebuild the engine with forged internals and bottom end before I put a blower on a 60K + engine anyway, I figured why not have that rebuilt bring more cubes?

So any thoughts and experience with this setup? Based on my basic calculations of a 4.6 having 281 cubes and 260 hp at the crank thereby giving us 0.92 horse per cube, would the incremental increase in cubes yield the same amount of hp per cube. So would this 302 ish cubes give me around 278 horses at the crank?

So if a relatively conservative supercharger tends to add 50% more power, that means that a 4.6 would yield 390 hp at the crank while the 5.0 would put it over 416 horses.

Are my calculations right or completely off? I guess the basic question is:

Is this worth it? And thanks for day dreaming with me.

from what micool/screwed2v or whatever the homo calls himself now said, it wasn't worth it in his opinion. the stroker kits really don't add HP, they add torque. i bigger bore is what would be needed to poduce more hp.

Uhmm.........wait....let me digest that.......uhm.....

What kind of supercharger you got on that thing?...you've both made my day and ruined it with your super awesome engine.

What does your power curve look like if you don't mind.

This looks like a perfect setup for drag racing....how does it perform on the street as a daily driver for you? Thanks again for posting the pic.

It does fine on the street except with the 4200 stall torque converter, I only get 7 mpg around town. On the highway, it gets 14 mpg.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a stall torque converter and what does it do?
