Looking for 351W stroker kit that can handle boost. What kind of companies have good repore for having quality rotating assembles Also, what stroker combos do you guys suggest for my 351W block for a twin turbo setup? Is coating pistons overkill? Not big NOS fan but it problably wouldn' hurt I suppose to coat the pistons so I don'thave to go back in there to have it done again. Just trying to plan ahead on my engine build and need some advice before dropping some serious dough. These stroker kits I've looke at are expensive indeed :notnice:

I got my 347 kit form The Mustang Depot or TMD. On ebay, their seller id is "dee$". I'm not sure about pricing for a 351, but my 347 kit with Mahle coated pistons, Hawks CNC I beam rods and nodular iron crank was $850. It also included the rings, pins, etc. They always have kits for sale on ebay, and usually have the BuyItNow option priced the same as the starting bid price. Check it out. Also, there is always CHP, DSS, and the usual suspects. :flag:

same as he stated. i got mine from mustang depot. it has mahle pistons hawks 4340 hbeams and 4340 crank for 1299 i think. been doing well so far. ive put about 650 hp on it so far

If you are going to run boost, you'll want the whole rotating assembly to be forged. You will also want to run a low compression piston. I would find a piston in the 8:1 compression ratio range. They should have a list of compression ratios on their website that the kits come with.

Eagle, Scat and Probe all have Forged assemblies.

AD has the best prices I have seen on them.

Try asking on Hardcore50.com and talk to jay allen for the cam. I'm doing chp but I have different needs. Lots of 351+ guys over there and some of the manufacturers actually post as well.
Oh boy I'm soooooooo not even ready for the H/C/I yet believe me. Moneywise or knowledgewise. I'm sure the cam will be the last thing I consider cuz it's gonna be the brains to run the whole operation. Stroker combo is what's kidding my a$$ right now. Guess I'll never have that desided until I have the money in hand an push "order" on the shopping. That's after changing my mind 2000 times I assure you

If you're doing a rotating assembly why not do a cam at the same time?
I assumed you made the cam to match everything else after your done. You start with the block - bore it / stroke it, choose the stroker kit - displacement and compression, and then heads for the air and fuel delivery combustion housing. The cam last for the duration of everything going on you've chosen to do to make it all work together and in tune (sync). Am I planning this engine build well here or should I be looking at this in a differnent light?

this is NOT going to be a street car right!!!???
Lol - a very very good question or rather, was that a statement? Either way I highly doubt the end product is gonna be very street legal here in Cali :D i'll be keeping the power steering but I'm scrapping the A/C and smog stuff and going with a the twin turbo setup to see how much boost I can feed this puppy but I wanna build it right; strong from the bottom of the engine to the posi out the back and axles. I only have to live in Cali for another 3 years so I wanna have the car finished before then and have it doing track runs and dyno tuned before moving. After leaving this "anal emissioned state" the only time it might see the road is to strickly cruise down a strip or be shown off at a local show. Anything more than 20 miles one way and it'll probably find itself on a trailer. So to answer the original question "No" this isn't gonna be a street car per say.
