Wow you know this question comes up about every three days and people give their opinion and sometimes its informed and sometimes its just what they read in an old copy of MMFF and you can get these stroker things from a lot of different vendors I got mine from CHP but that was about 10 years ago when they first came out and I am satisfied but some people dont like their customer service but the oil consumption question in 347s isnt really an issue so for street/strip I would say 347 for torque but roadrace would want a 331 for better rod ratio and lots of people use mild boost on strokers no prb if its built well and isnt it terribly annoying when people cant seem to remember how to break their thoughts into sentences?

Man that's one long sentence. I'm almost afraid to answer it because a couple things could be taken a couple ways.

No one here knows your current motor build, ask the builder if he would put 10# boost to it. I've heard good things and iffy things about Ford Crates.

I'd look at a builder for a stroker Keith Craft comes to mind. CHP--either people like them or hate them, almost no in between. I'm drawing a blank on dss right now. Any good builder can do anything you want as long as you're willing to part with the money.

Other than saying build me a stroker (xxx flavor) what are you intentions for the car? Strip-track-street only? Where do you want the power band?
Do you have ther rear end that can handle 450 hp? Not good if you stomp on it the first time and your rear end comes apart.

Either motor will work for you.... I personally like the 331 better. The 331 does have a better rod ratio. The new 347's do not burn oil anymore. The 347 will make more torque. The 331 will have better RPM potential. Either way you are going to be traction limited.

I run a 332(331) 4.030" x 3.25" with a 5.5" rod, JE pistons with full floating pins, and the pin support plugs, as the oil ring cuts through the pin area. 3.25" stroke and 5.5" rod = rod stroke ratio of 1.69:1, same as a stock 302.
My motor is street driven, has about 5k miles on it and doesnt use any oil whatsoever, even during cold starts.
And it's fairly powerful.
And it's for sale.
