On my '66 there is a very thin steel bush within the front chassis hole where the front strut rod rubber bushes fit into the frame. The bush is simply a very thin steel insert which fits into the existing frame hole, and then the factory rubber strut bushes sit into that steel insert. Mine are rusted through..

Does anybody know of a vendor who stocks these bushes ?

thanks
Chris

I asked this same question a while back and I think krash told me that you don't need to replace it. Just install your new bushings and your good to go. I can or you can check my previous posts to make sure though.

Thanks for your reply. I'm actually installing Street or Track strut rods. I've made the presumption that they are sized for having the factory steel insert installed, and that when I fit the new S/T strut rods they may be undersized for the frame hole, given i don't have the steel insert in there..
