Strut/shock combo with stock springs??

Anyone out there running a stock spring setup with a performance shock/strut..preferably an adjustable??

I don't quite want to lower my car just yet, but at 50K miles it's been riding a little rougher lately. It's still a DD, and i need it to get over the speed bumps at work and down the sloped driveway...but i don't want to put cheapo stock replacment parts back in.

If you wan tot keep it stock or close to stock. I would personally go with tokico

blue shock/sturts or bilstein. Tokico shocks were factory equipped on Special

Edition Mustangs like the Bullitt and Mach One.

Well one day i may go to a lower spring if i pick up a commuter car like i am trying to do.

I was just wondering how the ride is? I would think stock springs and an adjustable shock set on full soft might offer a nice cushy ride (for a Mustang) while setting it to full firm could offer some performance gain??

It would definitely perform better than with the stockers, when set to firm. And it would ride nice with it set to soft. I don't think it would be much different than stock when set on soft but who knows .. A good thing about getting shocks is that you would already have em' if you decide to drop it.

You could go with Edelbrock IAS shcoks. They adjust automatically depending on

how your driving the car at that time. There expensive though. I had them on a

previous vehicle and worked wonderfully. I
