That always pissed me off they stopped putting them on in '97. But if it doesn't make a handling difference its not worth getting around that thing to work in your engine bay. I think you have to drill the holes for it in my car.Actually, I think it MIGHT. Remember, the 94-98's and the 99-04's are basically the same car, just different bodies. Do you know anyone with a '96? If so, see if they will let you try theirs on.
Oh and BTW, since MD stole my STB, I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe that's why they quit putting them on Mustangs from the factory.
Edit: Actually, I looked it up, it's strange. A 96-97 can use the same STB, and a 98 uses the same as 99-04. I don't know why, but if you look up aftermarket STB's, you'll notice they offer one for 96-97, and a different one for 98-04.

Why is everyone guessing?
Why would anyone put a STB on their car to Add weight and nothing else?
The STBs don't do anything except stiffen cowl shake in verts, why have more weight in the worst area in the car?
