Ok, before you jump all over me, I've searched and read just about everything on this subject but never got what I was looking for. I want a better than average to comfortable ride, but not sloppy. It doesn't have to handle the greatest, because I don't ever push it to the limits anymore. I drive on ****ty roads to work and back everyday. So, knowing that...what do you guys recommend? I know the Bilsteins are the best, but are they right for what I want them for? I was thinking of Koni Reds or Tokico for the comfort aspect.

Thanks guys!

P.S. Don't ever freaking buy KYB's crap! My car rides like a tank. I'm so F'ing tired of it.

I'm using the Tokiko Sports in my '96 and I love 'em. They ride and handle better than the stockers. I used to have the adjustable Koni's in my '83 and they worked great but were pretty expensive. I 'm running the drag adjustable Koni's in the '83 at the moment but I wouldn't suggest them for an everyday driver or if you care about curve handling abilities.

I am planning on changing out my stock shocks/struts and my criteria sounds about the same as yours.I am thinking Tokico Illuminas as they are adjustable,so I can come up with the ride/handling balance that suits me.I would rather save my money and not buy adjustables but I am concerned the standard Tokicos,Konis and Billsteins would sacrifice ride comfort for better handling and possibly cause more squeaks and rattles on a convertible.

So would you guys recommend the Premium Performance or the Illumina 5-way?

The premium performance ones are nonadjustable, but the price is nice. The Illuminas are actually more espensive than the Koni Reds and both are adjustable.

So I guess, new question...Tokico Premium Performance or Tokico Illuminas or Koni reds?
