stuck door lock

Take the plastic piece off the end that sticks through the door panel, get a heavy set of pliers, and pull as hard as you can (stay away from the threads or you will be going to a junkyard to get a new rod). It may help to try using the unlock at the same time. If it hasn't been froze to long it will come up.

When you get it up get the actuator out as soon as possible. This away you can still lock and unlock your car manually.

That should work from above. I had one that pliers, etc. wouldn't work. I had to take off the door panel from the inside and undo it that way. A tight fit, but I did it... Didn't feel like letting my passegers act like luke duke and jump in through the window..

For info's sake: on cars with a plastic actuator bracket, there is a rivet through the door (from the outside). On the inside (where the actuator is), the plastic bracket is held to the rivet with a snap ring. If one can get to the snap-ring (which sits conveniently behind the actuator), the actuator assembly comes free. Then one can snake the actuator's bent linkage out of the lock mechanism.

Doesnt sound like that will help, but since you probably cant see inside the door worth a hoot, it cant hurt.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help guys... yall pointed me in the righht direction finnaly got the actuator out of the car and the door open..

I must have spent 2 hours with it yesterday took me less than 20 min this mourinng ... like most things that stump me with cars it was painfully obvious once I fixed it...
