Well folks, doesnt happen a whole lot, but im stumped on this one. Alternator died on me about 2 weeks ago, so i swapped in a new one. Since I didnt have an impact gun handy, i couldnt switch my u/d pulley when i did, so i ran same size belt with a standard alt pulley. Bout 3-4 days later noticed my car now has a really...obnoxious...whistling noise. sounds almost exactly like oh, dunno...a quiet blow-off valve? definitely rpm related, clutch in or out makes no difference.
Have since switched back to u/d pulley, still makes the same noise, not sure if its coincidence or the whole alternator fiasco brought it on, may be unrelated. Guess im just fishing for anyone with experience with this truly...bizarre...noise. Sounds like it may be accessory related, but then, im not sure. Anything i should have a look at to narrow it down at least? Thanks guys

replaced it, no more turbo sounds
