stupid i know

hey will taking off the blower, lifters and rods screw with my tuning...i need to replace head gaskets and i just dont want to screw up the tuning i payed so much for.....any tips/advice.......websites with head gasket replace pics...

1fast94SVT I found this for you even though its not really for your application. For the new gaskets you can go to www.mrgasket.com. if you are going to do it yourself, use this 6cylinder motor manual to guide you: http://www.v6power.net/articles/gasket1.htm

hmm

stang976 thank you much for the repsonse......is it nec to take off that much stuff to get to the heads.....i mean that whole motor was pretty muchstripped..i know the blower, and all the belt driven things need to come off...but all taht other stuff??

all accessories, upper/lower intake(which includes throttle, air intake, filter), and thats the top half of the motor

ok well im want to do a compression test tonight....i would like a couple things if you guys have the resources. 1. i took off my distributor to get to the water pump....the car is tuned thought..how do i get taht back in the proper way. 2.) any web pages of links on what the compression gauge should read....i have never done this before...any help you guys can give woulde be GREAT!!

i would have used a sharpie marker to mark the distributor position before you took it out.

its gonna be hard to keep the tune that you had, since some things will likely be changed like compression with new head gaskets if you dont use the same one. but im not 100 % sure on that
