Does anyone know where I can get the rubber bushing that goes between the pitman arm and the center link for a 65 V8 coupe with manual steering???

I bought a new center link and when I threw away my old one I forgot to transfer the bushing over and needless to say the new one didn't come with one....

If you know of a particular supplier or if it's possible to go the auto parts store and ask for part #...... that would be sweet!

Thanks

Yeah, the busing that fits between the pitman arm and the centerlink--do I have the two parts mixed up? Pitman arm connects the steering box to the centerlink and the idler arm connects the centerlink to the frame on the passenger side of the car, or is it the other way around

In any case I need the bushing that fits between the centerlink and pitman/idler arm (whichever it is..)on the driver side of the vehicle.

Thanks

I checked on this part and it is the cylindrical bushing for the idler arm which isn't what I need. I am looking for more of a flat round (basically doughnut shaped) bushing that fits between the pitmant arm and the centerlink. I have searched several mustang parts dealers websites as well as local auto parts store and can't seem to find it....there is supposed to be a bushing there correct? If not, the pitman arm and centerlink would be rubbing metal-to-metal (kind of like mine is now while the bushing is missing. I will try to take a picture and get it posted later today.

Try calling AMK (linked above) they should be able to I.D. this part for you even if they don't carry it.

The exploded parts illustration for the steering doesn't show any rubber or other type bushing connecting the Pitman arm to the center link

OK, so it is definately the pitman arm to centerlink bushing that I need. When I bought the new centerlink there wasn't a bushing included. Maybe if I would have purchased a new pitman arm it would have come with that....
