stupid question!

Hey guys..

This might be a stupid question but..how do I know if my quadshocks are flipped or not? Does the fatter part of the shock point towards the floor or up towards the car?

Im installing 275/40/17 on 17x9 rim and I would like to flip the shock so they can fit.

oh yeah...Do I need any wheel spacers? or will it be good with the quad flipped? Thanks

LOL, good one! i believe the fat side is near the wheel, the reason people flip is so the thin side is near the wheel (more clearance).a shock is a shock and will work either way its mounted

i dont think youll be able to fit those tires with the quad shocks on. i could be wrong though. my buddy has 265s on his car and had to take them off. he said they wouldnt have even fit with them flipped

I had to take mine off too. I have 275/40/17 nitto dr's on 17x9 rims.

If I get 265 do I get the 265/45/17 or 265/40/17 to match up with the 245/45/17 up front?

the 40's will match the 245's better if you want them to be as tall as each other. the 45's on the rear will be a little taller.
