2nd car, 2nd shifter (differ kind), same F'-in problem.
Car start shifting kinda funny. So I pull the knob and pull the boot. Sure enough the bolts holding the shifter handle on are loosening up just like they did on my Tri-Ax (this one is a UPR).
I knew I should have done this fromteh begining. If you haven't done this already just go do it.
I went and bought longer M8x1.25 bolts and 2 ny-lok nuts and bolted the shifter handle on 100% secure this time. Amazingly, it shifts much better now and has less vibration. Go figure. I didn't expect less vibration.
Save yourself the frustration and do this right fromteh get go when you install the good shifter and handle. It cost less than $3 bucks to know it won't come loose again.
