Ok, this might be really simple, but it has me at a loss. My left turn signal is out i.e, blinking rapidly. I know its not a fuse, because only the left signal is effected. How in the heck do I fix this? Yes, I'm an idiot.

I had the same problem! I changed all the bulbs, flasher and yes the blinker fluid.
Fords have a problem with the turn signal switch. Cost $49. at dealer but 50Resto has them cheaper. My old one when I took it out the wires and housing around the wire were melted.
So replace the switch and by all means KEEP The blinker fluid FULL

(part #sw-5605 F8ZZ-13K359-AB TURN SIGNAL SWITCH) :nice:

I had the same problem and replaced the "multi-function switch". That is the whole turn signal part that also goes into the steering colum area. Easy to replace, but get a Haynes manual and follow their simple instructions.

I only mention the term "multifunction switch" because that's what I saw in lots of online parts catalogs. Until I had to replace it, I never knew what that part really was.

Good luck.

Check your brake light switch. I had the same problem last summer and a wire was loose from the brake light switch. It's located on the brake pedal.

this was my problem too. my brake lights didnt go on either. didnt notice till the wire broke and i couldnt get my car into drive and the guy behind me in the drive thru said my brake lights werent coming on. :notnice: Its worth a shot.
