I just walked outside about 45 minutes ago to find my car had been broken into!! I noticed neither of the doors had been shut all of the way, and neither locked. I always lock my doors so I"m not sure if one was left unlocked last time I left it. The last time we drove it was thursday night, my dad drove and I was the passenger. Anyway, the piece of **** people took my stereo which I just got a few weeks ago from a friend! It wasn't a brand new stereo or anything, but it was really nice, and it worked really good! They also took 2 cases of cd's. One was full of nothing but burned cd's and the other had quite a few bought cd's and quite a few burned. They left a few cd's in the back seat that were in cases like my korn "issues" and def leppard's greatest hits or something. lol They also thankfully left all of my speakers, 2 of which were in boxes behind the front seats. They are just on loan from a friend so thank god they didn't take though. They are not even fully mine! Anyway they also pretty much trashed the car, left ciggy ashes on my mat "i do not smoke!" and they broke my white fuzzy handcuffs. BASTARDS@(@&#@^!&(!@(&*!!!

Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel though. My wife had her car broken into a few months ago while she was at work, and they stoled her cd player I had just got her for her birthday the month before.

That sucks!

At least it doesn't sound like they broke the dash to get the stereo out quickly. That happened to me when with my first car (76 coupe).

I had finally saved up enough to buy a cheap cassette player (I was 16). I just got it all installed and working, then went in the house to call my buddy and brag, lol. I came back out 5 minutes later, and my door was wide open, my dash was all busted up, and the radio was gone. All in broad daylight!

I think I finally have it narrowed down to a just few dozen suspects after nearly 20 years

I know the feeling. I had $1500 worth of stereo equipment stolen from my Bronco. The cops didn't do anything. To add insult to injury, they left a handprint on the windshield!

I came back from my honeymoon last month and found that my laptop, DeWalt Miter saw, Hitachi nailer, and Sawzall were missing from the garage.

The laptop was in the '78 Coupe on the seat. They left the stereo that was sitting ON the dash, the two unmounted amplifiers in the trunk that was wide open, the Infinity speakers sitting loose on the seats, and my EEC tuner that was sitting on the seat next to the laptop.

That's not a good feeling getting ripped off.

A few years ago my garage was broken into and the thieves used some buckets I had there to load up their goods. They stole a lot of tools I had hanging up on the wall at my work bench area, a small battery charger, and a pair of cheap speakers I used in the garage.

They didn't take a BF501 Snap on spray gun or any of my core items like about 5K worth of catalytic converters.

They only took items that they could probably trade or sell for their next shot.

I even have thieves living right across the road from me and I'm in the country on 300 acres.
