I am in the process of making subs for my 01GT and was wondering if 10lbs per sub is too heavy? I just need some opinions before I weld these things up.

It sounds in the right ballpark to me, my steeda tubular sub frames were probably a little lighter (going from feel and memory), but not much.

i was told my griggs sfc's were about 7 pounds each

mine are about 15-20lbs each. a fellow racer that owns a muffler shop/garage custom formed mine to every contour of frame. made out of boxed steel & made them as long as he could............which is about 2 foot longer than my brothers are
