I have an '89 convertible that i am installing subframe connectors. On the rear part of the cars subframe there seems to be a support plate that is fastened to it. Is that something that only convertibles have? If so do i need to alter the subframe connector to install over or under that plate? Any help would be great, thx guys or gals

Yep, verts have the rocker supports. You need to weld the rocker seam to the torque boxes and grind off the lip that sticks down and the rivets that hold it onto the torque box. Go ahead and weld all the peices of the rocker support together too. You'll be amazed at the difference on a vert with connectors. I've done a bunch and they all surprise thier owners. Expect to lose the window rattles and most of the cowl shake.
