SUCCESS!!! Updates on previous posts.

A few weeks ago I posted questions on correctly balancing early and later year 302 blocks. 28 Oz for early and 50 Oz for later. Well it worked! I swaped out my 28 Oz flexplate and matching harmonic balancer for the correct 50 Oz for my 1990 302 and boy did it make a world of difference.

I also upgraded my distributor and got rid of my points. Again a world of difference.

Glad to hear. I am working thru the same type of issue, except I believe my flywheel (28oz) was just not within spec (lesson learned about buying cheap parts). Just got my Ford Racing FW and hope to reinstall next weekend if it warms up a bit.
