successful maf conversion...tps probs

yay i have sucessfully converted to mass air with an A9L, 24# injectors and a 73mm c&l meter .....my problem is while i can see 4.7v off of the tps harness plug.... the tps reads 0.00v when plugged in and only goes to 0.06v when turned all the way...the is a brand new tps and another new on does the same thing...

do you have good ground for the sensor? (some people dont use the TPS ground when testing wires). with good ground and 5 volts (or close), the sensor itself is all that is left to give the return juice....weird.

if i test of the tps +/- i get 0.00~0.06v , if i test off tps + and chassis/battery ground i get 4.7v .....

As Hissin50 has said, bad ground.

The Orange/white wire should be 5 volts, +/- .25 volt.

With the power off, measure the resistance between the black wire and battery ground. You should see less than 1 ohm. Check the same black wire on the EGR and MAP sensor. More than 1 ohm there and the wire is probably broken in the harness between the engine and the computer. The 10 pin connectors pass the black wire back to the computer, and can cause problems.

yup the resistance on the tps and the map sensor are crap.... i get 0.2ohms on the maf sensor...
i need to check out pin #46 on the eec harnes...

that pin is plugged in fine... im getting a couple thousand ohms(?) across that whole signal return wire....

i think its the A9l eec.... if i put my old SD ecu in there the resistance is at 1.2 ohms (under 2ohms) with the A9l in there it shoots up to a few thousand... which is way too much to get a signal back....
