So next semester im gonna be taking my car down to school. It was a huge arguement with my parents because they thought it wouldnt be reliable enough, but i have had so few problems that it should be fine. They were to the point that they wanted to lease me a new car for college, and give my car to my bro whos gettin his permit in 3 months. F U C K THAT!!!!! Anyway we came to an agreement that if i wanna take it down, i gott get new shocks, a new catback cause mines literallly falling apart, and i have to take my nitto drags off and put some 315 street tires on. My dad and i are lookin at the sumitomos that some of you guys are running. How do you like em??? And can you post pics? Thanks fellas!

My pony is wearing them right now. They're cheap, they're wide, and that's about all the good I can say about them.

pretty sure they are owned by Firestone, or brigestone, or one of the stones. had a set on a few of my cars. nothing to write home about, but nothing really to complain about either. They are just tires that work like tires should.

I put my 315/35 17 Sumitomos on my car about 10,000 miles ago, and they seem to be holding up well. I really cant see any wear on them, still a lot of tread left.
I don't think they have a lot of grip/traction, as I can easily light them up even with a stock motor/AODE, but I rarely do burnouts or race my car, so they should easily last me for 20 to 25, 000 miles.

Cheap, wide, traction is worse than I had in the mud with my truck. They are some ****ty tires, but the price is awesome.

They are nothing special. It's pretty much a standard tire, I get normal amounts of traction with it.

They are definately harder to break loose then the pony rimmed pirelli's I had on there before.

The price is unreal though. Its like you're losing money by not buying them. Thats how I justified it anyway...

their really not a bad tire...and u can't beat them for the price! Traction wise I've never had a problem with them. I run their 275's on the front and 315's on the back. I actually have to buy new rear ones this spring before my inspection.

only pic i have of them:

i got them for $107 (116 shipped, or something like that) each from tirerack.com. can't beat that price. cheapest i've seen them at other sites is 13X, and the first set i got i did locally for $150 each. can't beat tirerack's deal.

as other guys have mentioned, they're not GREAT tires but they do the job and they're cheap. i got a nail in one and had to replace it, but the other i've had on there for almost a year. it's held up well and wears normally.

look at it this way: you get to keep your car, even though the trade off is a crappy pair of tires. they're just tires, though--they do the job for a dd

Cant complain on those tires. Cheap and last long time if you dont burn them. Traction does suck. I got better traction on my stock waffle rim with a 245/55 i belive
