I work for Illinois Departement of Transportation, most states have people who do grass cutting/cleanup in the summer on the highways, outside work, don't need to bust your ass, like $18 bucks an hour for our program. And you don't need to be a convict, either!

I'm working construction for the summer, its hard work but I get to be outside and get in shape. Construction companies are always looking for reliable hard workers.

cut grass for yourself man. You can't beat it while your in school. Work when you want. I average 25 dollars an hour in WV. So im sure you could make a little more elsewhere. And when school comes back in you can just mow around when after class.

I'll be building sets for the new Batman movie in Chicago. The hours suck (70-80 a week), but it's pretty much the only way that a 21 year old can legally make the kind of money they're paying (should be around $1600 a week). Hells yeah!
