Sunpro Timing Light, How to use??

I finally decided to check my timing, so I borrowed a Suntune (Sunpro) DC Power Timing Light, model CP-7520. This isn't inductive(?) I think because it doesn't clip over the plug wire. It has a little spring thing about 2.5 inches long that looks like it might go between the plug wire and the cap but I don't know. Someone please help, I don't know how to hook it up!

Also do I hook it up to the No. 1 plug wire? Thanks

I am not positive but I am sure you can not use that to time these cars. Sears has some nice timing lights for a decent price. Or try to find someone else that has the right one.

Yes it hooks under the #1 wire at the plug.
