here's one that I saw on Craig's List...

I personally think this particular one looks like crap but I'm not about to put a sun/moon roof into a classic mustang...

IF....and that's the key word.... IF you ever go to sell it, the market of people who will want that is very very small in my opinion. Just something to consider. It's you car so I say do as you wish . Of course you could find someone who loves that idea and will readily buy your car when you are at that point but it's got to be a small percentage. I wish luck regularless.

The only one I've ever seen that looked decent was a very costly transplant from an XR7 Cougar. Hacking a hole in your roof to install somethhing that looks like it came from a 70's van is a sure way to drastically reduce the value of your car. Don't do it.

I did one back in the early eighties. It took a fair amount of work, but the end result looked great. I used a '75 Mustang ll as the donor. The electric sunroof on these cars basically bolts in as an assembly, even the drain lines. Some bracing and studs needed to be welded to the roof structure, so the roof needed to be repainted. It also lowers the headroom by about 1 1/2 inches, and the headliner install was very tricky, in fact I had to bring it to an upholestry shop to have it sewn, pulled tight and then steamed. I have been looking for pics, but can't find them, sorry.

II'm really wanting to do just that. i've got a sunroof, and im desperatly looking for a nice fastback or even a coupe roof to put on my car...

When I bought the car I knew NOTHING about cars, so i thought nothing about the sunroof. Now i hate it with a passion. DON'T DO IT.
