With the curvature of the roof, do any of you think that it will be possible to put an after market sunroof in the 05 GT coupe?

I'm sure it would be possible, but why? Newer Stangs look terrible with sunroofs!

I'd love for the Stang to have some sort of open air roof on the Coupe, Targa Top is my first choice but a moon/sun roof would be cool

Id imagine that it would be possible. But they just dont look as good as a Foxbody with a sunroof.

IMHO the best sunroof is one you cannot see from outside the car. Hard to do with such a curvy roofline.

It's a shame there is no open-air option for the new stangs. I hate the act that my '03 doesn't have a sunroof or something.

My '88 has a factory sunroof and my '85 has T-tops. If it's a nice day outside, they are always off. And yes, the girls love em.

I've seen a 2001 Mustang with a sunroof. It looks awesome

Yup, I'm a girl, and I don't care. If you want open air, get a vert
But I don't even care too much for vert, with hair as long as mine its more of a pain in the a$$ than anything

Please, no!

I've seen so many botched aftermarket sunroof 'attempts' in the past few years, so here is some advice: If it isn't offered from the factory, run from it.

My friend at cardomain has a sunroof on his 2001 GT. I like it. Here's some pics. He spent $1,500 for it.

Hard to do, but certainly not impossible. Take a look at the 3rd gen RX7's curvy roof (much more curvier than ANY mustang), yet those engineers managed to make a fantastic sunroof for it. Ford can do it, they're just too cheap!

Actually now that i think about it, it seems every time lately i have a girl in my car i am forced to put the sunroof/t-tops back on and roll up the windows and put on the A/C. They are always worried about their hair.

I'm not a prissy chick who cares about what my hair looks like, I'm more concerned about the ever-annoying hair in my mouth and eyes while I'm trying to drive, and tieing it back doesn't work very well either
I just like having the windows rolled down, that's enough air for me

Well, being a guy i guess i never saw it like that. I like it as open as possible. I would have bought a convertible, but unfortunately i didn't find any good deals on them when i was car shopping. But there's just something about blasting down the highway on a warm sunny day with the sunroof or t-tops off. I can hear the car better when it's open so i just love listening to the sound of my exhaust as i drive around. I just hate being closed up. Hell, i drive around in snowstorms with the windows down.
