Hey is anyone familiar with the Gt500 Super Snake? if so does anyone know what kind of wheels are on it im lookin at getting the same ones for my 09 GT if i can find out what they are....thanks

Hey man,
I'm in the same boat as you, I LOVE those wheels:nice:

They were Manufactured by Alcoa (I believe Alcoa only made these wheels with Shelby...correct me if I'm wrong)...So they are in limited supply at the moment, which could be why they are going for around $500 a wheel (yea, makes me mad too)...I love them soo much, but Shelby patented them I believe, so I do not know of any replicas at this time. IMO, I would this it would be easy to replicate these wheels, of course not forging them or having the durabright on them would help bring down the price a bit

Anyways, try contacting Mike over at Mustang GT500 Carroll Shelby Wheels - CS40, CS66, Alcoa GT500 Super Snake Wheels

Or you could go straight to the source:
Wheel &amp Alcoa Wheel - Shelby Performance Parts LLC.

I hope I helped, and great luck :nice: ...great looking 09' btw:D

Not forging them would make them heavy as hell, as there is no way they would be able to handle the loads with the same style. Add to that the patent pending design...and I seriously doubt you'll be seeing knock-off's anytime soon. Besides, if you have ever witnessed the miracle of Dura-Bright...you wouldn't think twice about them. Seriously, brake dust simply whisks away when you simply spray water from a hose on it.

On a side note, I'm staring at 10+ boxes of them as I type (along with some Lambo, Ferrari and TechArt wheels) :nice:

Cruzin conceptz has them on their website for 3sumthing a piece, not sure if theyre forged or not. Also i believe lakeshorewheels has them not to sure on that one. Theyre awesome looking wheels but i got my set of four for the price of shelbys one.
