Hey whats up guys...I have a 99' cobra that is getting a new motor built from the ground up as we speak....I'm going all forged of course, basically setting myself up for a blower....I havent decided if i want to go Iron Block or just stick with a TekSid aluminum block because of the boost....But yah guys i'm going to be looking for serious power and my guy has told me to go with Pro-Charger, but i dont know...I like the novi alot....Vortech is nice to...But I'm not sure.

Let me know what ya'll think.

DO NOT get a Procharger P1sc. if you want Procharger, go atleast D1sc. the Novi 2000 is a great blower. As far as Vortech, i recommend you go with atleast a T trim.

I was actually looking at the p1sc with the 3 core intercooler haha...But what's up with it, since you recommend the d1sc instead....

They tend to have leaky seal issues and they throw belts like hookers throw panties. You'll want to up the boost past the capabilities of the blower too. D1 has way more potential.

That, and the D1SC is the loudest blower I have ever heard under full boost. It's friggin beast. I've seen so many p1sc impellors just absolutely annihilated because of owners not checking the oil regularly on the blowers.

Honesstly, if I were you, I'd go with a big bore 2.1 Kenne Bell. You're looking at 750hp there.

There are tons of high horsepower cobras with the aluminum blocks. Stick with that. If you decide to sell it pm me. I have a p1sc2 and it is the free upgrade from the p1sc. It has a revised impeller. I have about 10k on mine right now and it is fine. Doesnt leak a bit of oil. And ive never throwen a belt. Im making 381hp and 405lbs of torque (mustang dyno) with a otherwise stock bullitt. The d1sc is not needed unless you plan on going over 650rwhp. The blower that they ship with their 03 cobra kit is the p1sc2 isnt it? That makes 600 doesnt it? It cant be that bad.

What the hell kind power are you going for that you think you will blow apart an aluminum block? Take the lighter one and run with it, I'm pretty sure it can handle at least 800hp.

Oh, and screw a blower. www.hellionpowersystems.com Go for a 67/76mm turbo on that beast.

If he were getting a procharger with a built motor, I'd definitely recommend the D1 for the higher boost and cfm levels. I think for all out power, the Novi2000 is probably one of the best centrifugal blowers you can run. I've seen upwards of 600-700hp on those blowers, and thats just on 2V motors.

The 03 cobra procharger kit comes with an F1, the step up from the D1. Thats how it makes 650+hp.

Don’t listen to the usual naysayers on this one, the Procharger PISC kit is just fine and every bit the blower any of the others suggested are. Too many internet rumors get started about them and once they get regurgitated a few times (with plenty of added exaggeration for colour from those who don’t know any better) the facts get a little askew.

That being said, the Vortech and Paxton kits are every bit as high quality and reliable and all will make plenty of power when stacked up against the Procharger kit and depending on the unit selected, possibly more. The only real notable difference between the P1SC and the others is the use of a self contained oiling system (which has proven to be every bit as effective and reliable as the fresh feed systems), standard intercooling (which unless you plan on opting for some sort of aftercooling with any of the other systems is going to net you the edge in horsepower and torque production), and the PISC utilizes a 4.10:1 internal step up ratio. Which is both good and bad depending how you look at it. Great for spooling up quickly and allowing the horsepower and torque to come on faster and harder than the standard gearing of a normal centrifugal, but limited in high RPM potential. Which IMO is quickly negated by the fact that the standard intercooler keeps the air charge cooler for more horsepower up top regardless. As far as I'm concerned, the PISC kit makes a great street supercharger. Save the deep breathers for the track.

You choice really.....none of the major kits are going to prove a “bad decision”. It’s really going to depend mainly on where you want to see the majority of your power made and what your budget is like to make it.

Thanks fellas, for ya'lls imput. I'm going to stick with the normal plan and get the new teksid block (My romeo has a slight hole from a rod haha) But yeah I'll be getting my porting from a place called M2 Systems. I'm pretty much only keeping my cylinder heads from the old motor, and I guess my intake...Other then that I'm going to pretty much replace everything else....I was going to Try a N/A setup at first, but now i've decided to blow it, My dream would be to have 600 at the wheels, but i just dont know if it's possible. so the input i was trying to get from ya'll gave some importance..
As for my other mods I already have a t-56 (99-01 cobras came 5 speed) and 4.10's, going Kooks long tubes, going to keep the BBK Xpipe and the mac catback....I'm going to go with centerforce clutch...have a stage 3 spec (dont think to much of it), and I think I'm going to keep the same after market drive shaft....My rear is kind of low so i'm going to go eibach springs for the rear, and keep my UPR in the front the way it is, so I can have slightly aggressive tilt....But yeah guys, I'm just trying to get a good blower out there which can also give my motor some life longetivity....

thanks again
