Nitto DR's mounted on 15" welds. Still only cutting a low 1.9 60', still need to practice launching.

i also went through the same debate last year...i chose to keep the gt and go all the way with it.

my plans for the summer are in my sig...cant wait!

You can scavenge the midpipe, Catback, and MGW from your GT, add Longtubes and a tune and you'd be at 310RWHP and 330RWTQ with a Mach. But since your GT is almost paid off, if it was me, I'd just get the blower and other parts needed for your GT. With a 6# blower, your engine can more than handle that.

*Actually the MGW would be different since yours is a 2000, oops.

That was one thing that made me consider the mach even more is that my exhaust could be switched from the gt to mach 1, however i will have to find a catback for my gt because i don't have the stocker. I can also use my sc xcal 2 on the mach which i plan on purchasing around christmas. Just have to put the stock code back in before i sell my car. Also one thing that kinda of scares me about getting a blower on my car is my tranny, kinda worried that the t-45 won't hold up., i have been considering putting a t56 in my gt but won't have the money to do both tranny and blower. Decisions, decisions guess i have a good six to eight months to decide and it will most likely come down to how good of deal i can find on a mach and how much more insurance will be.

Considering re-sale value on a mustang is a bad idea IMO. Unless your getting a collector car that is going to sit in your garage, most people drive/modify the cars and will lose value regardless.

Personally, i would consider either boosting the GT or looking at a cobra. There are nice cobra's to be had for around 23-24k if your patient. The mach 1's are deffinitely nice cars, but cobra's are in comparable prices ranges these days and they come with a lot more performance for the money. Besides, cobra plus pulley, exhaust, intake and tune is mid 400's to the wheels at least.

My choice would be to boost the GT. Since your even considering this as an option, i would assume you'll want to modify the cobra as well. Better off modifying the GT then spending that mod money to buy a cobra and then spending even more to modify it. Plus the insurance on a cobra (or a mach 1 for that matter) will be more than the GT.

Personally,

I agree. I wouldnt buy a Mustang to sell it later.

Plus blown 2Vs can make as much hp as a blown 4V. Turbo is a different story.
