This is all new , the 4.6 . I have had 5.0's which I loved I just sold my 89 charged baby and well I have a 2002 Gt that needs more power. I want a supercharger first. I'm torn on which one. I am steering towards the Procharger with the 3 core intercooler. I noticed that with this body style I have plenty of room for the intercooler, something I did not have before. So can you guys help me ? Do you recommend this charger or not? Thanks if not can you give me some input on which one....
Thanks

The brand of the supercharger isn't really the big deal with 4.6's. Its all in the tune. The procharger is great just make sure you dyno tune it, cause if you don't you're just driving a time bomb waiting to go kaboom

Kenne Bell , or paxton novi 2000 with air to air intercooler , or vortech SQ or T trim with paxton air to air intercooler , prochargers are OK but more than one person on here and other sights have had seals leaking from the P1SC , so if you go procharger spend the extra 300 bucks or so to upgrade to a D1 , by that time though you are usually in the NOVI2000 range which is a bigger better blower ....IMO .......

Kenne Bell is the way to go. I switched from a vortech and the KB is MUCH more fun.

My votes for the Kenne Bell. When you buy the kit you get the 6-14 psi KB with everything you need and if you don't go with the intercooler, then it is always upgradable later. Plus it makes full boost at 2k. Most centrifigal's don't start to make boost until around 4k from what I've heard. By that time, you haven't spent much time in boost and it's time to shift.

Kenne Bell That's what I'm going with.

Check out the mongoose kit from www.modularfordpowerhouse.com. I don't have it, but from what I've heard it's good. You can get it with either a Vortech SQ or S-trim or a Novi 2000. And I've heard there customer service is unbeatable.

I agree it depends on what you want..Fuel and a good tune will make or break any supercharger package..
Personally had a few friends that hand many issues out of porchargers (at least the p1)..

I have run vortechs with no issues. My current setup is a t trim and water injection (water only as a cooler).

dont forget about turbochargers, but u gotta be prepared for serious power, twin turbo on stock internals is a gamble, hp performance has a kit for ~6k that makes 500 hp without breaking a sweat, theres a couple cheaper, ive just been looking at these things lately and they look awesome

Obviously my vote... KB
- Great power
- Great torque
- Zero maintenance other than oil change every 12K miles
- Fun to drive at all rpm's
- Very quiet until you open it up and get a nice twin screw whine
- Looks great
- Superb customer service from Ken, Brent, James and the rest of the crew at KB
- They make one for a '96
- And the list of pros goes on
Not that any other blower is bad, but for what you get for the price... you can't beat it.

Performance and cheap never seem to go hand in hand.

you can install the KB on your own if you know what a wrench is. KB is teh win.
