My 98 Cobra has an 8 psi vortech supercharger and exhaust and I was looking into how to get more horsepower. For the money the next logical step would be nitrous but would this be overkill on a primarily stock Cobra engine with 30k miles. If I do decide on nitrous would engine internals need to be upgraded. Any input would be of great help! And if anyone has a blower and nitrous set up I would like to know if you've had any problems. Thanks for all the help in advance!

Exactly...better safe than sorry...

Kind of off topic but I know of a guy with a 99+Gt that just recently blew up his motor up using nitrous and a supercharger

Now this is what I've read, so take it with a grain of salt..

If you use nitrous with a s/c it effectively almost doubles the potency of the NOS. The reason it does this is because it chills the air. I think it's something like a 50 shot of NOS on an supercharged vehicle will actually get you 75hp.

Why not just get a powerpipe and get a cooler air temp. and steal an extra 1-3lbs of boost??? You could get a dyno tune, and/or change the supercharger pulley to a 10lb pulley and/or get an intercooler or aftercooler. I would do one or more of the above apposed to the nos setup. Plus dont be fooled by the $600 nitrous kits you need all kinds of extras to get it to run right and effective. You'll definetly spend over a grand and for that you could just get an intercooler. Just my 2 cents.
