we all know what superchargers do for power and which ones do it the best for their intended use.if you have so much low end torque that the car cant hook till mid way through 2nd gear with a automatic is it doing you any good for low end use? so my question is would you buy a paxton style or kennybell style blower if you do most of your full throtle driving when you get it on at lower speeds.i have a lightning and full throtle below 35 mph just blows the tires away and i dont want this problem with my mustang.just looking for 7 or 8 ilbs of boost and 400 to 425 horsepower.im leaning towards the paxton and for price differance, it seems to give the best bang for the buck.so what do you think, centrifical or screw style?

Well screw type superchargers and whipplechargers are all known for their low end torque and "insta-boost". They are known for their tire ripping power and all that good jazz. Centrifugal chargers are known more-so for their high rpm power and are most of the time used for race applications as they don't get that "insta-boost" like the other types. I'd suggest getting the centrifugal and get a very conservative tune to get you the 400-425hp without out too much traction problems.

Of course you're still going to have traction issues if you just lay into the pedal and don't really think about it because our cars naturally aspirated can break 'em loose in first.

I personally would go with a twin screw. If you are looking for 400 hp at the crank, Saleen's will do that with only 4psi. If you want that to be 400-420 at the wheels (475 @ crank), they have an upgrade that raises the boost to 7psi. I've talked with many Saleen owners with autos and they love the power and have now problem hooking up.
