Can anyone tell me what is the best way to do THAT??
I wanna run my GT around 400HP on the wheel.
I'm thinking of getting a Vortec Supercharger. some people tell me to get a Procharger. So i really dont know what to do. I need something thats NOT so expensive and is reliable in the same time. I plan to keep my engine "STOCK". I will only change ( Tires , intake , exhaust) just basic stuff . but my engine will remain stock. so can you guys please tell me what kind of Supercharger will be the best for my Stock 2004 Mustang GT, without needing to change the pistons or any other engine internal parts.
The price and site where i can get it , will be sooo helpfull.
thanx

Well you got positives and negatives about all superchargers, personally I like vortech which you do have to punch a whole in your oil pan but thats not a big deal if you ask me. I think the vortech system looks best under the hood, I also have the aftercooler on mine and the performance and looks are great. I am going to go ahead do everthing you want to do at once and get a custome dyno tune done and you should be ok with stock parts. I don't belive in the chip that they send you, mainly because I blew out my bottom end that was stock on 8lbs of boost with the chip.

I don't have a supercharger so take this for what its worth, but i think with 400 rwhp you are pushing your engine and its a ticking time bomb. I could be totally wrong, but i think the 4.6 SOHC is only supposed to be able to handle around 400 hp at the engine. which is ~ 320 rwhp. As far as blowers I like the KB for the low end power it offers. for drag racing you might be better off with a centrifugal like you are looking at.

it's all in the tune. there are many people running around teh 400 mark on the stock block. if you are wanting a nice s/c kit get in touch with www.modularpowerhouse.com tims' tune is about as good as you can get & it will make 'safe' power (although there really is none with forced induction)

I will be buying a procharger in a few weeks. I like the fact that you do not have to punch a hole in the oil pan with the procharger.

i'd rather tap the oil pan once than remove the blower every time it needs an oil change. but that's just me.

BTW, stay away from the P1sc. it has a tendency to blow seals. get the D1sc if you really want to go the Procharger route.

click on my sig. that's an easy 400rwhp on a 5spd.

Both Vortech SQ, Vortech T, and Paxton Novi 2000 seem to be nearly bulletproof. I have never heard any of the horror storeis like those with the Procharger P1SC.

From what I have researched on my quest here is what I have found.

The vortechs seem to be the cheapest and are built very well, but you have to remove the S/C head to change the belt

The Novi seems to be the beast of the group, supports up to 27psi. Do not have to remove S/C to change belt. Seems to be a beefier bracket and everything overdesigned. It is more expensive.

www.modularpowerhouse.com is the place I am going next summer for my boosing needs.

Also check into a Kenne Bell too.

Procharger will give you the most bang for the buck..
The paxton owns all and the vortech doesnt make a lot of noise..

Kenne Bell or Allen Engine would be my pick..
Its all in the tune, I know someone with 430 RWHP on the stock block..
