Supercharger overload. HELP!

im now planning on supercharging my 93 5.0 and i cant seem to come to a decision on which s/c to settle on. Ive heard awesome things about vortechs on a pretty much stock engine so ive looked into those. theres the v-1 S-trims and then the v2 SC-trims. i was wonderining what the main diff between the two is. ive searched on this and ive gotten so mixed up in the "v-1" "V-2 SC-trim" "v-1 S-trim optional A-trim" "v2- SQ". its all craziness to me. i just want to know this:

- which one performs better (HP/TQ wise)
- which one is louder
- how many mods do i need to run the s/c (maf/tb/inject)
- and if my b303 is going to kill or help a s/c setup.

that should hold me over for now.

Well the v-1 is the old style vortech the new v-2 which is a quieter version now replaces it, and the "A" trim is a small super charger, if you want to know more go to http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com it has all of the information that you will need as far as the tech information about the superchargers. It is always a good idea to go up in injector size when adding a supercharger on a stock motor I would put 42# injetors and not use an fmu. This size of injector you can do plenty of mods to your motor with out needing a bigger injector .You will need to invest in a good meter that will be as large as the inlet on the blower, such as PRO M, Super Chips, ect that is cal for the injectors. The kit for the blow comes with about eveything else. Your b cam will not kill horse power but is not the best cam for the job. Reply.

I'm no Vortec genius. I can only relay what I've read. It's my understanding that the V-2 has a slightly larger case and more efficient impeller. The result is a lower disharge temp at a given boost pressure. Pick the S or SQ based on how much blower whine you want to hear.

I have the SQ and i'm madly in love with it. It's quiet, but definitely obvious that its there. If getting an s or sq i wouldn't run any smaller than 42 lb injectors with a 255 in-tank pump. I'm not a fan of FMU's

i have the V-1 S-Trim and i am very happy with it. this thing is loud, you can here me coming from blocks away. It's all about your taste and how loud you want it. If you go with the S-trim any of the two the V-1 or the SQ have the same power, just that the V-1 is noisy. Another thing about the S-Trim series is that if in the future you want to upgrade there is room for it.
