Just asking for opinions on superchargers. I will finally be purchasing mine in a couple of weeks and I'm stuck between Procharger and Kennebell. I know they are differernt types and each have their strengths and weaknesses but I'm having a hard time deciding.

Those of you with these brands please add some incite for me. Does each of these kits come complete, i.e. injectors, fuel pumps, mounting hardware, and tuning chips or will I have to invest in other parts prior to the install? Have there been any reliability issues with either brand. How long are they expected to last before rebuild / replacement...

Thanks for your help.

Well I havent bought either yet I'm still saving for a kenne bell but, the desiding factor for me was that kenne bell 1.7 intercooled comes complete with intake. If I went and bought a pro charger I wouldnt be happy till I got a richard racing or P-51 intake and when you figure that in the mix the final cost comes out to be the same.

Depeneding on where you buy the pro charger it will on will not come with intercooler and injectors.

Finally the kenne bell makes power down low from stop light to stop light my Street car will be a joy to drive as i understand it the Procharger makes more power as you get higher in the RPMs.

Edit/// the KB is the silent killer under the hood the prochargers whine is a dead giveaway to the guy idleing next to you what you got.

Discounts always help just as long as they know how to tune.

Both are different & good choices. I have the P1SC/3core. I take it to the track when I'm in the WOT mood. It is very reliable as a daily rider. The 42lb injectors,Cobra fuel pump,MAF were extra. Plan on getting full length subs & some suspension & tires. I get 10mpg(93oct). Whatever blower you choose- the install & tune are everything.Do have it dynotuned. And a shift light will protect the engine. I do not do burnouts or high rpm launches. It was installed at 15,5000..now have 23,000. The blower installed/tuned cost about $6000+tx.
Good luck with your purchase.

You only get 10 mpg! i have a p1sc/2core onmy 98 gt and i get around 20 mpg. You however, are making a lot more power than me also. I'm only at 312rwhp and 352 ft/tq. I just don't know about my poor non pi motor with the low power levels.

Floor it & keep the pedal depressed-boost starts to build at 3500rpm's.Higher rpm's-higher boost.Slight lag & then hold on.It kicks some serious a_s. The Stang is quite faster with the tune alone & the 3:73's(when not in boost). I can't give a good example of how a Procharged Stang should perform..being that I am an inexperienced driver and are getting crappy times.Too much wheel spin, bad reaction times, etc. Also,my tune is more for reliability & drivability than for drag racing.Strickly a fun..go for ice cream or a six pack kind of car that goes to car shows or the drag strip. The poor MPG are due to the rich tune(I think),jack rabbit starts and a heavy foot. But I do keep it safe & legal. It only gets into full boost at the local tracks.Superchargers(centri or screw)rock.

I ordered (today) the KB.

Said I would stick with the 6psi, but I ended up getting the IC 9psi w/cool air kit, 90mm meter, Big tube and 75mm TB. Now I'll just need to find the time to install it.
