I was wondering if the 1998 mustang gt and the 2001 mustang gt have the same motor and setup? also would a 1998 powerdyne setup work on a 2001 gt. I know I will need bigger injectors and fuel pump. Anything else? any suggestions? I was thinking cobra injectors and maybe fuel pump... ? But any help would be great!! Thanks

The 98' bracket will not work with the 01' mustang. Your better off getting a SC kit made specifically for your car.

You are going to need a fuel pump, injectors, MAF, spark plugs, IAT sensor, and a few other misc. things. You can buy the MPH mongoose kit that comes with EVERYTHING you will need, including a tune. A tune will cost anywhere from $500-1000, depending how long the car is on the dyno. You might also want a wideband o2 gauge, oil pressure gauge, water temp, and fuel pressure.

The fuel system is completly different. Sell it on e bay and pick up a complete kit for your car.

I bought a vortech T-trim mongoose kit for my old 98 GT, the only additional parts I had to buy to get it to work on my 01 was a focus fuel pump ($100 from Randy) and a vortech bracket kit ($299 from vortech).

Everything else is compatable. Same injectors, maf, blower, intake tubing, plugs, IAT, etc.

The bracket kit comes with a new belt, idler, bracket, and hardware.
