Yup, i hear ya....

ON THE OTHER HAND, I have a buddy of mine who I USED to let drive my car when I didn't feel like driving(VERY RARE) and it was when my car wasn't as quick. well he would would have his fun with it, not crazy but i didn't mind. But one day HE WAS BEATING THE PISS OUT OF IT even when I would tell him to settle the ***KK DOWN! but no, he took a corner in it super fast and lost control and went up on a flat curb on grass, I seriously ALMOST PISSED MY PANTS! never again has he touched the drivers seat. he still asks me all the time to drive it, everytime I go back to that day, and he swears he won't do that, and I just laugh and tell him to go buy your own.

Just wait till I get my 03 cobra, hanging out with him is gonna be like telling a kid he can't play with and break, and play rough with his friends toys.

Look, I didn't ask for opinions on if someone else would give a test drive or for reasons why any particular person wouldn't. Just wanted to know if there was someone willing to. Even a ride in the passenger seat would help me make up my mind.

I think I will stick to just reading the forums for info. At least that way I don't have to hear from people like a few that have posted replys here. Some of you guys remind me of a few mustang owners around here. Instead of being cool and paying another stang owner respect for owning one, you want to pull up and rev at him... What a load of . I thought all @$$holes drove chevys...

Thanks to all of you that have posted friendly replys!!

Dont be discouraged by some of the people on this site... its usually just a misunderstanding or joke... I thought it was a reasonable question that could have been answered with a simple yes or no

if you have a bullit get a vortech , paxton or procharger because you have a good intake there and if you go with a KB you would have to get rid of that . not a good move in my opinion , I drove a roush stage 3 the other day and my 2002 GT with vortech non intercooled would kick its a*s in a straight line but the suspension is dead on on that roush through corners and the brakes are amazing

Actually id sell the bullit intake and use the money for the intercooled KB kit

@$$holes drive all kinds of cars...but don't be too discouraged. Seems people just feel the need to give their 2 cents about anything and everything, and can hide behind the anonymity of the internet.
When the tech talk is purely tech, personal opinions aren't quite as prevalent.

Hey man i was just giving you a hard time, I didn't mean any offense by it. I just know one time a kid at school who i thought was competent with cars asked to drive my car... So i left him get into it and it turns out he didn't know how to drive a stick, not even remotely. He starts it and revs it up a bit and starts to push it into gear without the clutch in, so i was like hey clutch man, so he puts it in and was like oh yeah i forgot so then he revs it up and just drops the clutch.

I went ape ****, some people don't know jack and ever after that no one has driven my car, except my dad

No offfense meant man.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't take much offence to what you had said. I know that most people wouldn't let just anyone drive their car. I know that I wouldn't just let anyone. I have been driving for 15 years and have owned 8 cars and only 2 were autos and only owned them for 1 1/2 years between the 2. The rest were sticks and 3 were stangs. My first was an 88GT, then a 95GT, then a 2kGT, and currently an 01 Bullitt. I love the Bullitt, just want more power like everyone else. I believe that I would be happier with the KB blower. Just have to make up my mind between the 6 or 9 lb units. Would love to go 9lb. intercooled but only have a stock bottom end. I know that if and when I have to get a rebuild it will be forged but would need to run lower boost on the stock bottom until then. I wonder if you can just buy the 9lb and run a larger pully for lower boost....

I'm sorry but if someone asked to drive my car I'd look at them like they are
stupid. I've got a ton of friends with blown cars and I'd never say "hey,
let me drive it and see how a supercharger feels" If I drop that much money in my car the only one thats gonna f*** it up is me.
And that sounds crazy" I'm not gonna run it hard or anything"
Then how the Fu** are you gonna tell how it feels?
90% of blown cars you cant tell unless you romp down on it.
If you wanna know- race one.

only forced induction car i drove was a turbo subaru, it was ok but the turbo didn't kick in till 3000 rpm

i got a ride in a saleen s-281E with a smaller pulley on the s/c and that ripped ass.
I also got a ride in a 95 cobra with a 6psi KB and and my friend couldn't really get on it cause it was raining, but it had some real nice low end torque.

The only experience i had with s/c's is pretty much what ia read and people tell me. But from what i hear the KB gives the 4.6 the low end toque it needs. Thats what i will get when i have the money.

On the other hand i have never been in a centrifugal blown 4.6, so i see where u would like to see what its like.

Good luck

I love what I have heard about the KB supercharger. I was going to get one but decided to stay N/A for now, and wanted to make the most power I could, so I went with the Bullit intake. I knew doing that would affect the selection for when I decide to go blower, but I figured I would just go with a vortech or paxton. Now I think Im just going to do a VT big bore stroker short block and be done with it, thus eliminating my desire for a S/C. If I go power adder it's going to be a Turbo anyways.

For sure you can sell your Bullit if you wanted to offset the cost because the KB is much more fun around town with the boost it makes at low RPM's. However, for your current setup, a Vortech would be the cheaper route and be just as good. It's all in what you like, and the difference between them are trivial. Good luck.
