So I have all the boltons and I'm basically at 300rwhp. I was looking at the new Vortech V-3 supercharger kits. Next goal is 400rwhp and I think no matter what supercharger I go with I will be at or over 400rwhp. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Tork Tech Inc. all the way. Their Magnuson MP112 kit out of the box is a more powerful, more complete set up that has has more potential and room to grow than the current 2.1L Kenne Bell offering and it's less expensive to boot. :nice:

As for Centrifugals...they're great for making horsepower, but I'm a guy who likes seemless, hard hitting low end torque delivery that pulls like a freight train from start to finnish....and that's something you'll only get from a Positive Displacement Supercharger.

If smog is not a issue go with the torque tech kit and dont look back. On the other hand if you do have to smog your car then you should probably go with the KB 2.1. I would have gone with a torque tech myself but I line in cali and have to smog every other year so its important for me to have a blower that is smog legal.

That tork tech looks like a good blower and they did a gt with a higher stall and it almost made 390rwhp. If it were me it would be a toss up between kb, tork tech or a procharger.

The tork tech is a great kit. Mine is making 417rwhp(5-Spd)..I love it......Guess it just depends if you want a Cetri or roots style blower, and if you have to worry about passing smog.

Everyone likes different supercharger companys.I really
like the reliablity/dependablity you get with a Vortech
supercharger everyone I know that had one had a good
experience dealing with Vortech.I would choose the blower
I decide to purchase based some on if the company has good
customer service or not.Because you could have to deal with
them one day and it's nice to know they will show you decent
service.

My customer service experience with KB has been great. They gave me a military discount (10%) and included all the 96-98 stuff for my car when I ordered the 99-04 kit (I have PI heads) even though they dont sell the 96-98 kits anymore.

Also, my heat exchanger was leaking (slow drip) upon install and they are going to replace it for me.

Great guys to deal with from my experience, but I know others have had different perceptions of their customer service.

I think the mongoose kits are a great way to go. The great thing about the vortech sq trim is: A) you can make upwards of 550rwhp with it B) When you decide you want more power all you have to do is send it back to vortech with an 800$ check to get it upgraded to the T trim and BANG here comes 800+ rwhp

Whats your best time at the strip?

Haven't been to the strip yet with it. :(

What other mods do you have? How much boost are you running? what size pulley do you have?

Nothing major, most of what I had was replaced with the Tork Tech kit. Just exhaust work, 4.10s.......I am still using the standard 3.25" pulley that came with the kit and seeing about 9psi

Wow...I thought you had more done to the car than that.

Impressive when you consider the realatively few mods done to your car and its knocking down 417rwhp and Rickyll7 is only putting out 10hp more with a stroker engine, heads, cams and full intake and exhaust work.

*EDIT*

Just to give you an idea what the Tork Tech with just the base MP112 on it is capable of with the right supporting parts. :)

That being said....I'm not trying to take anything away from Rickyll7's build. There are probably subtle differences in the calibrations and possibly the types of dyno's used (Dynojet vs. Mustang Dyno) which would very well play a part in how the numbers came out. :)

I agree. It is very impressive.

If you were wondering, my 427 rwhp is SAE corrected and was on a mustang dyno. I'm running it at 11.4:1 AFR. Also, I am at about 7.5 psi per my autometer gauge. Oh, and my compression ratio is only 8.5:1.
