Okay, so I have always read its a no-no, don't do it, compression ratio is too high to do it. Well, I thought I was okay with this, but I guess I am not. I was looking around on procharger's website and I found this chart.

According to that chart, someone who has a PI swapped car (assuming they are running between 10-10.5 compression ratio, could still manage to run like at least 6 lbs of boost if it was intercooled. Am I reading this right? or no? If so, why arent more people with PI swaps running S/C? Input is appreciated as always....

Well, my idea here is to do this with the stock bottom end for at least a year or so cause I dont have the loot for pistons and rods right now, otherwise I would go that route...

I have heard of people blowing the PI swapped motor with 6-8lbs. My recomendation is to NOT do it unless you have the $ in the bank for an immediate rebuild. Consider using nitrous, that works well with compression.

Another alternative is to have the heads removed again and the swirl dams cut out. That should bring you to about 9.5:1.
