supercharging

i deciding to put together a vortec s/c. i dont have alot of funds but if i get the parts for the right price and good cond, ill be fine. im looking for something simple for now. i have a ported gt40 intake waiting to be installed and headers. stock heads still on. heres what im looking at:

6psi-8psi....something good for DD
good power for the street. 330hp/ 380 ft lbs
compression on both sides are fine. the motor has close to 100,000 miles.
what is the cheapest kit that i can find? im for something simple for the time being.

I'd look for something on ebay.. or maybe go to your local performance shop and see if they know anyone with a kit..

Or hell even look into finding a used turbo setup.. Really just depends on your budget.

i have seen vortech kits on ebay used for around 1,000 dollars. and i know that piecing together all the parts for a turbo set up can get costly can you get a turbo in your 5.0l for less than a grand?

Just make sure that if you get a used kit, it has everything. Lots of people like to put a kit on missing this bracket, or this screw or something. I had a friend buy a Powerdyne online, which was missing parts. By the time he bought the parts it was missing, it ended up costing more than a new kit.

thanks guys. i was thinking about getting the head unit first. with bracket, on what i read, that the fox bracket is a bit different from the sn95. is its possible for me to just bolt on that bracket?
