i just got a super chip for my mustang and i set all the settings to the superchips setting instead of programming them myself is that the best option?

Unless you know what you are doing for sure (or if you have deep pockets) setting it to what they recommend is best until you can get some tuning help. A good tuner that knows their product might get you more.
