I recently purchased a 89 Notchback off ebay from some1 local. When I drove the car the car had a bucking/surging problem in first and 2nd gear. It would drive normal in 3rd-5th. I'm not 100% of all the mods but the owner I purchased it from said it has 3.31's in the rear and an f303 cam with ported stock heads and intake. His timeslips show him running 69mph on the 1/8th mile track 
with a 2.2+ 60ft.
What could be causing this car to have such poor driveability in first and 2nd gear?
