can anyone help me with this problem . any ideas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok . seriously what do you think this problem is
driving .. with the A/C on . the car surges and jerks and ect..

shut the a/c off and its fine .....

been to ford . the idiots .. said everything is fine .. this is not fine

i mean you can shut the a/c off and the car is smooth

any ideas.. seriously .. need any sort of help or direction here

its much like a "stutter" like a round and round surge or jerk .

happens not all the time though ... which is wierd as well..

too it into the dealership yesterday . AGAIn . they did the ECM test . no codes.. checked the freon level . and pressure .. its fine .. they ended telling me . service manager " we know something is just not right . but we cant figure it out until it gets worse "

Does it make sounds when you're outside the car? Mine has been making a clanking sound of some sort when I turn the A/C on

I have the same problem on my '04 GT. When I turn on the AC it usually does it and then it does it periodically while the AC is on. I took it to the dealer and they told me that it was the clutch on the compressor engaging and disengaging so there wasn't always a load on the engine. Sounded like BS to me though because the way it makes the engine jerk, there's no way that can be normal or even good for the car. Let me know if you guys figure out a way to make it stop. Otherwise I'll probably take the AC out and save on some weight since I never use it anyway because I hate it when it does that.

Sorry but as far as I can tell its normal, mine does it too, not with heat just AC. I never use AC any way except when my kids in the car, and I dont race when shes with me so the power tap doesnt bother me at all.

My car does the same exact thing. It will stutter a little bit and make a tiny little noise. It only happens when the A/C is on though and it bugs me because there has to be something causing this and someway to fix it.
