I'm restoring a '92 GT but am wanting to beef up the suspension a little. I'm not going road or straight track racing but definately want something better than what it came with. "Aggressive Street" would be the best way to describe it I guess. Anyone have any suggestions/opinions?

I have lakewood traction action rear upper and lower control arms. They work great with my Ford motor sport lowering coils. Car handles nice and is very limitited body roll. I will be ordering strange engineerings 10 way adjustables soon. I think it will be a nice all around setup. Not all that expensive either.

Go to Summit Racing and also Mustang's Unlimited for a variety of options.

Definately you will want to lower the car 1-2" front rear and increase the spring ratings as a package deal. They will tell you what you will get before you buy. Mustang Monthly recommends a set of Ford Racing Sport Springs (PN M-5300-B). Sept. Issue.

Be warned what I learned after the fact doing serious 300HP autocrossing with sorta gummy tires. Don't be in a rush to increase the size of your stabilizer bar in the front. I ripped the mounting right off the left frame rail by going with a big bar. I was told after the fact this is a no no with a fox body. These cars like stronger/shorter springs but don't have the build strength for big bars. They don't like big HP either without reinforcements and you definately want to put first the seat floor police reinforcement and the frame rails before anything else. Or you will end up with a second crack under your fanny. :Track:

funny you said something about the busted floorpan. I never could figure out why it would rain and the inside of the car would smell musty, carpet would be damp. I checked for leaks everywhere around the weather stripping and couldn't find any. After I pulled the carpet and mat out I found some idiot that owned the car before me had tried to jack it up under the seats on the floorpan. It's stretched with two cracks on either side. Body shop guy told me not to worry about it (that he could take care of it). Definately going with subframes, strut brace and complete suspension rebuild. thanks for the advice...
