Suspension and Brakes

Here's the deal. I recently inhereted a 94 Mustang GT convertible AODE from my father. He never abused it, however, he never maintained it either. I managed to clean up most of the interior and exterior. I also got it running pretty decent besides a few engine wear items. The main problem is the brakes and suspension. The rotors are shot, the shocks are almost non-existant, and the bushings are backing out. I'm gonna have around 1,000 bucks to upgrade the suspension and brakes. Then I'm gonna throw another 1,000 into the rest. What are some good cost-effective mods I can do to make it ride better. I am gonna get the tokiko adj. shocks all around, and eibach lowering springs. What else should it replace to make it better than new. :hail2:
