I am currently awaiting delivery on my 06 GT ordered last week. Being a gearhead, the cogs are turning over ideas of modifying the suspension already, including lowering the car and replacing the UCA, LCAs, and the panhard bar with more stout tubular pieces with the understanding that stronger links result in better axle placement.

What I don't know is specifically how lowering the car will affect ideal geometry of the axle and dynamics like axle hop, squat, instant center of motion, etc., that are determined by the factory settings via the stock length of the aforementioned control arms. Adding to my confusion is the avaliability of brackets to allow modificaion of lower control arm mounting.

Is it possible to maintain favorable geometry on a lowered car with non adjustable UCA and LCAs assuming an adjustable panhard bar is used?

Perhaps someone has dimensions of the stock suspension that would allow me to make a mock up and experiment with different control arm angles?

TIA

the relocation brackets for the LCAs improve the rear geometry. the panhard bar only places the axle in the center of the car. and adjustable panhard bar is required when lowering, because it moves the rear end over without it when the ride height is dropped. i am not sure what the adjustable LCAs will do for geometry, but i know the upper is mostly used for setting the correct pinion angle.
