Suspension help please

Hi. I lowered my car with the FRPP K-springs on the stock Shocks/Struts Last September. I didn’t think anything of it until now. Yesterday, I noticed a chattering in my front end, only when I go over continuous bumps (crap back roads). I’m just wondering if this could be my strut gone bad?? Anyone?

Did you change the strut mounts? If not, check those first. The stock struts mounts are notoriously bad.

the Caster/Camber plates? those and the struts are stock.

Doesn't matter if they're stock, they have to be removed to swap the factory spring with the lowering one, once these mounts are agitated 90% chance they will make noise. When you decide to change your struts just pick up a set of GT-500 mounts too.

Are these what I need?.. if so that is GREAT! I wasn't looking forward to spending $220 on camber plates!

And what about the Tokico HP series shocks and struts?.. will they be good for my FRPP Springs?


Edit: I'm guessing those GT500 Mounts are one time use also.. so if I put them on, they'd need to be paired with some struts so I don't have to replace them AGAIN. right?

Good question as to whether or not they are a one-time use part. If so, caster/camber plates don't look so bad. Anyone know?

Those are the mounts! As for caster/camber plates being you have the FRPP springs the 1.0" drop the camber is still in spec, if they're the 1.5" they're just on the border of being out (camber angles) I don't feel they're needed. When you order struts you can get a camber eccentric bolt just make sure you slot the bottom strut bolt hole so you can rotate the eccentric and adjust your camber.

Yeah I'd like to know that too... But I ordered them with two struts so I wont have to mess with them again. it'll all be done. =)

I'm not sure the factory GT mounts are 1 time use either, I think they're just junk. Even if the GT-500 mounts are 1 time being the normal interval for strut replacement is 50,000 miles I don't think shelling out another $70 at that time would be a big deal.

The manual states the GT units are a one-time use item; once removed they should be replaced. The reason I was curious is if I want to swap struts or springs multiple times to get just what I want, then the caster/camber plates would pay for themselves.
