I have 69 coupe, 302, power assist steering. I am considering doing the "shelby drop" and putting in lowering springs. The car drives fine now, but... the lower control arms seem to be pulled forward. The sway bar end links are leaning at a hard angle. Are the control arms (upper & lower) the same left and right? Or is the caster adjustment way off?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Open the hood and make sure the 2 bolts that hold the contol arm in place arent pushed out towards your exhaust manifolds. If they are, your alignement shims have popped out and which causes the control arm to shift forward. On note of the shelby drop and springs....if you plan on racing this (drag) the drop will hurt your times.

The shims are still in there. It just seems like my tire is not centered in the fender opening. I am not going to race the car, I was just looking to make it a little more friendly for normal driving. I am looking to improve the handling and braking a little bit, without spending a ton of money.
