ok i got a 92 5.0 on the car its got like 170,000 miles and i believe the shocks, struts and springs are original. ok heres what i want. this is not a race car or am i gonna to be racing at all. i want something that rides nice. right now i feel every little bump in the road making a huge thud.

ok so i want something that will be comftable going over bumps. alot of crappy roads where i live. but i want it to have a nice aggresive stance as well. so i want to lower it a bit. so my questions are...

What kind of shocks and struts can i get that will give the the ride quality and what lowering springs can i get that will work with the ride quality i want.(i dont want it to be completely slammed) and not want to spend to much money.

I say go with the eibach pro springs or the ford racing b-springs, they are not a drastic drop but they do drop your vehicle decently, but not as drasticly as the sportlines or the c-springs, and I think h&r springs are just too stiff, have no experiance with bbk or any others, the springs I recommended drop around 1 to 1.5'', which sounds like what you are looking for, and they are a progressive spring which will give a better ride quality than a specific rate spring would. As far as the shocks and struts go I don't have any recommendations other that try and match them to the spring pressures of what ever you get, I have monroe shocks and struts installed in my car and they were just stock replacements.

I just picked up some Bullitt springs, from what I read the Bullitts' will make a Fox ride and handle much better; they're supposed to drop a Fox 3/4 at the most. Some paired them up with Tokico HP (blue) shocks, while others use Bulllitt shocks, either way they say it rides better than a stock fox, especially one with a worn suspension; I'm hoping to get some Tokico blues for mine.

I just replaced my "unknown" lowering springs with Steeda Sports along with Monroe (stock replacement) shocks and struts on mine. The shocks and struts were both original so you could probably imagine how it rode before the new parts. The springs lower it approx 1 1/4 inches. The ride is pretty nice, its not bone jarring when you hit bumps in the road (roads are bad here)

Get yourself some strange 10 way adjustable shocks and struts...u can control ur ride with a turn of a knob....use some ford racing springs...they drop the car no more that an inch

a good budget setup would be tokico HP's (blues), and ford racing B springs or bullitt springs like liquidgt said. Over those though, if you can afford it go with the eibach pro kit springs

Eibach pro lowering kit
Shocks-koni, qa1 adjustable or equivalent, there is alot of good shocks out there. I just happen to know these work from experience.
Ones i do not like are bilstein.

And most importantly, use energysuspension isolator kits all the way around, world of difference. Takes all the thumps out of bumps.
