Ok lets see if you guys can help since no one on my falcon boards helped... I have a 64 Falcon which has the same suspension as a 65-66 mustang.. Heres my issue. I just put all new suspension on the front of my falcon, everything is new. I did the granada swap also. Now it looks wonderful everything fit perfect, but my problem is when I jack the car up everything drops to its lowest point, well that takes the spring out of its top perch, so when I lower it I have to run around to each side and inch the spring back in its perch. Everything is tight and I cant figure out what else to do. The springs I used are the 620 rate with a half coil cut off, but even if I hadnt cut a half coil its still dropping to far like 2-3 inchs.... Any help would be appreciated.

Mine does the same thing and it is no big deal. When driving the sway bar will hold everything in place and the spring will not fall out.

When done working on the front end, using a jack, simply let one side down at a time while you are holding the spring in place with a flat head screw driver.

Wish I had a buck for everytime I have done this.

I can tell by your discription that your ride has a good "stance" to it. Good Work and put up some pics. Falcon owners are welcome here.

Do you have the shocks in? I know on my car it's the shocks that limit the travel so that the springs stay tight. Without the shocks the suspension drops down far enough that the springs almost come loose. Just a thought.

Yes Shocks are installed....

This is what I did on our '66 coup, it isn't a race car.
