While i don't always agree with wythors, i too do not like the upr stuff.
Here's my thoughts, do the suspension a couple parts at a time using only high quality parts. I've had a ton of parts which gradually led me up to the good stuff, had i had know i would have just skipped right to the good stuff.
Springs, the eibach pro lower kit is pretty good.
For ride quality use energy suspension isolators all the way around.
Shocks, use koni, bilstien (i rather have koni).
Get MM camber caster plates.
MM subs.
Forget installing the ES bushing kit, it's not worth the trouble, all the good parts will come with new bushins anyway.
For control arms i like MM and steeda.
Uppers, use the ford racing HD replacements.
Forget spherical (which i have had), they ride terrible and eventually they wear out and make a ton of noise.
Suspension parts are a bitch to put in somethings, buy parts right the first time and you will never have to worry about doing it twice.
I know you are not a fan of the UPR stuff and it's apparent since the same statement is brought up in every UPR thread, but have you ever personally had an issue with anything from them?
I know Im a dealer so my point of view will always look at as skewed BUT I would not be a dealer if the parts didnt work and they were not safe. have I seen those other threads yep...
I've never had a single issue and I personally still have some of the early model stuff, 10 years old! The material is high quality and they are welded in FL but a top notch weld/fab shop. I've actually cut some arms open to see what thickness the tubing was, as well as sonic test the thickness when my car was cert'd 25.5sfi.
Do I like the MM, and Steeda stuff, yeah great product I use them all!
To the OP, Personally if you are a real corner carver Id look into a 3 link set-up from Steeda.
The internet is funny sometimes. People like to talk tough on the internet, and people frequently have an agenda.
I've spoken to Rick once or twice over the phone, and many times online. I respect him. One of the things I appreciate the most is that he is a man of integrity. He'll tell you flat out that he is a dealer for all of the different brands and he'll suggest different brands or products for different applications. He'll tell me straight up if, for example, he suggests a Steeda setup like he did in the post I quoted above. I'm not offended. I know he is knowledgeable when it comes to Mustangs and he has his reasons for choosing a setup I don't sell.
That said, I think he makes a legitimate point in his message above. Some people love to hate UPR, especially here on Stangnet. But almost without fail, they hate on UPR for something they read online, or something that happened to a guy they know, or a guy their friend knows.
You rarely ever hear someone complain about a UPR part they personally tried. In some rare cases, issues have come up and we've made sure to to back our product with our Lifetime Guarantee.
The only defense I'll make in this thread on behalf of UPR Products is that we have thousands of happy customers. Most of them have daily driven on our parts for years with perfect reliability and performance, many of them have won multiple championships using our products. My personal experience is that I have daily driven and raced on UPR Products for ten years and I've never experienced a single failure with our products. An objective person would say it's obvious that we're doing something right.
Nevertheless, we can't please everyone. I personally do everything I can to ensure that all of my customers are satisfied with our products, and that's all I can do.
Sharad - So how do you reconcile the fact that the company you work for flat-out steals other people's product designs? Or do you deny it? That is my beef with UPR. You screw other people over and I refuse to support a company that does that. I'd really like to hear your side.

Of course you'd like to hear an answer from me. However, I'm not even remotely interested in hashing all of this out with you. I won't feed your antagonism. I work hard to provide for my family and I am at peace with what I do for a living. I genuinely wish you all the peace and happiness in the world.
