So , I've got all this stuff already sitting in the living room but I'm not sure about the total drop it willl give me.

Tokico HP's
Ford C springs
Poly isolators
MM Caster/camber plates

I would like the car to drop around 1.5 - 1.75 in. I know the C springs drop to barely more than an inch, but it will be a little less with the poly isolators. So, since people normally cut 1 coil off the rear of the c's to get the car level with the stock rubber isolators, I was thinking of cutting 1 1/2 off the back and 1/2 of the front. I'm thinking this might give me the desired drop I'm looking for, which is 1.5 to 1.75 in.

Discuss........

If you're going to tell me that cutting springs is stupid,,, well people do it all the time with the C springs with no adverse effects.

well I hope you bough the fox body HP's for the rear at that drop. the front you can deal with on the CC plates either way.

and there is a down side to cutting springs it is called ride quality and handling. People do stupid **** every day does not mean it is the correct way to do something.

if all you car about is low and don't care if the springs and struts last 100k though it won't matter.

C's tend to drop around 1.5 front, .75 rear, You can eliminate some of the isolators and just add padding/tape/foams etc so you can drop an extra 1/4-1/2in.

There are also things called dead coils which are most commonly cut off.

ah, sorry cant do it. already had an offer for $200 + shipping. i'd love to hook you up but these things are going for over $300 from H&R, and usually abouf $225-250 from other on-line dealers. good luck figuring out what you want to go with though.

Im going with the eibach pro system plus. Shocks struts pro kit springs and front and rear sway bars. It should give me a 1.5" drop. Im also getting maximum motorsports cc plates. It should handle like its on rails. :nice:
